Forgoing Everest Region Trekking, we have to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla by small Twin Otter plane. Lukla airport is Nepal'sNepal's domestic airport and Himalaya region airport, so there is no more facility like in other airports. Sometimes, the flight will be canceled or delayed due to mountain weather or some technical problems with the aircraft. In that case, you have to pay for extra days' bills in Kathmandu or Lukla. If a flight is canceled and you have an international flight in such case,
Nepal Government has announced that the flight schedule to Lukla from Kathmandu has shifted from Ramechhap until further notice to avoid traffic congestion at Kathmandu airport. The Ramechhap airport is far 130KM far from Kathmandu and approximately 4 hours of driving.
If you avoid a flight from Ramechhap to Lukla to Ramechhap, then another option is a Helicopter Charter for five people. Generally, the Helicopter charge is USD500.00 per person for one way. However, helicopter charter service is not guaranteed. After confirming your Everest Three Passes Trek, we will coordinate with the Helicopter company for a charter for your easy transport.
