Useful Information of Nepali Holiday Packages 11 Days

Before starting on a holiday tour to Nepal, there are several important things you should know. Here are some key points to consider for an 11-day itinerary covering Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan:
  • Visa Requirements: Ensure you have the necessary travel documents, including a valid passport and an appropriate visa for Nepal. Check with the Nepalese embassy or consulate in your country for the latest visa requirements and application process.
  • Best Time to Visit: Nepal's weather varies across regions and seasons. The ideal time for this tour is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is pleasant, and skies are generally clear. However, do research specific weather conditions for each destination and plan accordingly.
  • Health and Safety: Consult your doctor or a travel clinic at least a month before your trip to get advice on necessary vaccinations and medications for Nepal. It is also recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies. Take precautions such as drinking bottled water, avoiding street food, and practicing good hygiene to prevent any health issues.
  • Currency and Money: The official currency of Nepal is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). While major hotels, restaurants, and shops in urban areas accept credit cards, it's advisable to carry cash for smaller establishments and rural areas. ATMs are widely available in cities, but they may be scarce in remote locations, so ensure you have enough cash.
  • Transportation: Domestic flights or private vehicles are commonly used for intercity travel in Nepal. There are regular flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Consider hiring a private vehicle or joining a guided tour to visit Lumbini and Chitwan, as they are located farther away. Local buses are another option but may be more time-consuming.
  • Accommodation: Kathmandu and Pokhara offer a range of accommodation options, including luxury hotels, budget guesthouses, and boutique lodges. Lumbini and Chitwan also have decent hotels and resorts catering to different budgets. Book your accommodations in advance, especially during peak seasons.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Nepal is a predominantly Hindu and Buddhist country with a rich cultural heritage. Respect local customs, traditions, and religious sites. Dress modestly, particularly when visiting temples and religious sites. Remove your shoes before entering religious places and be mindful of photography restrictions in certain areas.

  • Local Etiquette: Nepalese people are generally friendly and polite. Greet locals with "Namaste" and show respect for their customs. Bargaining is common in markets and street shops, so feel free to negotiate prices.
