Hike around Shivapuri

The Shivapuri place form the northern rim of the Kathmandu Valley. The Shivapuri area provides much of the city's drinking water and the forests and high point of the ridge at 2732 m. This trek offers a stunning view of the city and its outskirts. Most of the route is through unspoiled old-growth forests of oak, rhododendron, and beech. In sometimes, hikers can see spot deer, monkeys, jackals, and others animals. The trek starts from Sundarijal to Budhanilkantha, where you can use public and private transport. Hiking Godawari to Phulchoki

Unfortunately, the hill overshadows the historic settlement of Kirtipur, one of the last of the Newar strongholds to be defeated by King Prithivi Narayan Shah. The top point is 2278 m., but the one from Kirtipur is most interesting. The hiking route starts just beyond the Thai Buddhist Temple at Naya Bazar. The top is marked by a small Buddhist Stupa and makes a perfect lunch spot. To reach Kirtipur, public and private transport are available.

Hiking around Nagarjun 

Nagarjun hiking is one of the nearest hiking routes in Nepal. The route starts from Balaju and climbs steeply for perhaps 30-40 minutes but then levels off and passes through some delightful forest, a mixture of pine and oak with some bamboo in places. There are reputed to be wild bears, leopards, and bears in the woods, but the number of hikers using this trail probably keeps them well hidden. More correctly known as Jamachok, the hilltop shrine is thought to be the meditation place of the Buddhist sage Nagarjun who visited the area while Kathmandu Valley was still a lake. Several meditation caves are still to be seen on the hillside, the most obvious of which is located a few hundred meters north of the starting point.

Hiking Nagarkot to Changunarayan

The famous place for sunrise and sunset with a fantastic view of different snow-capped Himalayan; Nagarkot. Nagarkot is one of the best destinations for many travelers. From Nagarkot and vice versa, there are many short hiking trails towards Changunarayan or Bhaktapur.
