Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival.Meet by our Himalayan Asia representative in airport and transfer to the hotel. Our representative assists to check in hotel process and give short brief about program. You can take rest and fresh. You can walk in evening in Thamel (tourist hub of Kathmandu). Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu (1320m) to Pokhara (914m - 7 hrs) .After taking breakfast, transfer to airport/bus station. We take early drive/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). One can view green hills, beautiful valleys and some mountain views on the way. Pokhara is regarded as tourists’ paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples, etc. One can have pleasure to observe views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight in Pokhara.
Meal: breakfast.

Day 3Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga (1577m - 6hrs) After taking breakfast, we start our trek from Nayapul (1050m.). We would drive up to Nayapul from Pokhara. From Nayapul, we would trek to Tirkhedhunga (1577 m.) via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about four and half hours. Overnight in a Tirkhedhunga.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4Trek to Ghorepani (2855m - 6hrs). After taking breakfast, we trek from Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m.). Today we could ascend down gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, one could see majestic view of Machhapuchhre (6997m.), Himachuli (6441m.), and Annapurna South (7219m.). Overnight at Ghorepani.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 5Trek to Poonhiil (3180m.) and Trek to Tadapani (2675m - 6hrs). After taking breakfast, we trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180m.) and then to Tadapani (2675m.). We cover the distance within five and half hours of normal trek. Early morning, we start our trip to Poonhiil (3180m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and numerous other snowcapped mountain peaks. Having breakfast at Ghorepani, trek to Tadapani (2650 m.) through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, one can observe waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds and green valleys. Overnight at Tadapani.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 6Trek to Ghandruk (1950m - 6hrs) After taking breakfast, Trek from Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk (1950m.). Comparatively, today is the easiest trek of all days. One has to trek through the forests of Rhododendron and oak One could hear soothing chirp of birds on the way. This trek is also offers best alternative for bird’s lovers. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village. There is a handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this village you could observe good views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail. Ghandruk village is listed in World Heritage Site. In the evening, typical Gurung Cultural program will be organized on demand. Overnight at Ghandruk.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 7Trek to Pothana (1990m - 6hrs) After taking breakfast, trek from Ghandruk (1950m.) to Pothana (1990m). The first part of our trek is quite steep up to Kimbu (Bee hive in Gurung language). Kimbu is situated at the elevation of 1200 meters on the bank of Modi Khola. One has to ascend following the stone staircase to Landruk. The trail ascends gently for nearly two hours and again ascends steeply for an hour to Deurali (2150m.) passing through Tolkha village (1850m.). From here, one can see panoramic view of Dhaulagiri I (8167m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), Fishtail (6997m.), Annapurna III (7755m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.) and Lamjung Himal (6930m.). Now the rest of the trail descends gently down to Dhampus passing through Pothana village (1900m.). Overnight at Pothana.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 8Trek to Dhampus Phedi (1113m - 4hrs) Drive to Pokhara. After taking breakfast, trek from Pothana to Dhampus Phedi (1113m.) which takes about four hours. The trail descends gradually for at least an hour and follows gravel road for two hours and then descend to Phedi passing through Dhampus village. Upon arrival at Dhampus Phedi, we take a vehicle to reach Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 9Drive or fly Kathmandu. After taking breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. After a normal drive of seven hours, we reach Kathmandu. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we head up to Damauli, Dumre, Mugling and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable Car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. One can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

  • How is Nepal?
    Nepal is landlocked country located between India and Tibet autonomous region of  China. It have highest peak of the world name Mt Everest (Sagarmatha) and eight peaks of the worlds ten highest peaks. It is birthplace of Gautam Buddha place name is Lumbini.
    Nepal is small country but tremendous geographic diversity. It rises from Fifty nine meters to eight thousand eight hundred forty eight meters. Nepal is divided into three part Terai, Hill and mountain regions.
    In here, the first language is Nepal (Devanagari script) and one hundred twenty three languages. The official language of Nepal is called Nepali.
     
  • Passport and Visa:
    First thing for travelling anywhere, you need valid passport with at least six months. You can obtain visa for Nepal from Nepalese consulates or on arrival in Kathmandu or other boarders or most reliable source of information is currently the Department of Immigration Nepal, if you fill online form and bring with you, then it would be easier to get visa in any Nepal boarder.

    Nepal’s climate varies with its topography and altitude. The low land Terai area has hot and humid climate that can rise above 40 degree Celsius during summer, middle region weather is pleasant almost all the year and northern region temperature is always cold.

    Spring: Mar-May: The temperature is good in this season and many flower blossom and best season for trekking.
    Summer:  (Jun-Aug): Monsoon season in Nepal, weather is hot and wet at times.

    We have a lot of restaurants with different cuisine but during trek we eat from Nepalese menu especially Pasta, Mo Mo , soup items, Dal Bhat, tea, coffee etc. In trekking route, you will take dinner and breakfast in lodge and lunch will be along the way.

  • Need any special equipment for trekking?
    In another column, you can find what you need to carry. Need to bring warm clothes, comfortable shoes, trousers. Or you can buy in Kathmandu before starting trekking.
     
  • What will happen if get any emergency in the trek?
    We suggest to all our clients do insurance before going trekking. If you have any problem, consult with your guide and he will give suggestion. In our office, one staff is available twenty four hours in phone call; you can call him/her.
     
  • Do I need permit before trekking in Nepal?
    For entering in trekking route, you need permit and TIMS card. For restricted area, you need special permit. You can discuss with our consultant.
     
  • Is Nepal safe and especially for single travelling woman?
    Absolutely, Nepal is safe for traveler. For woman and man, Nepal is safe. While going trekking, we suggest take one staff with you. If you go by yourself, you donot know right way and can missed way.So, we suggest to all visitor's , please hire government licensed guide and book with local Trekking Agency in Nepal. If you book by local agency, they will update about your situation everyday.

  • Hotel and Accommodation Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek:
    We provide to our client in City area best three star (above three star is on client requested) and lodge/teahouse during the trek. A Teahouse/lodge is the combination of guest house and restaurant where rooms are normally decorated and available bed, pillow and blankets. In every trekking route, we provide only teahouse/lodge because there is no availability of deluxe hotel.
     
  • Meals Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek:
    The meal which is provided in trekking area is included breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide breakfast and dinner where you stay overnights and our guide will choose restaurant for lunch on the way. Our guide and other staff always give priority t served delicious, hygienic and each place special food. We recommended you to bring water purification tablets. 
     
  • Guide and porter Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek:
    We provide you best staff to you who have good experience and government license. In a group, we provide one guide till 16 pax and one porter for each two person.  One porter carries 20 kg .Our guide help you , if you have any problem in trekking area.
     
  • Personal Expenses Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek:
    Personal expenses means which is not covered your package column cost include. Normally, you have to pay for table drinks (alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages), snacks (on the trek), tips, souvenirs, hot showers and extra day if flight cancelled or any other natural disasters.
