Crossing over the Thorong La Pass is both the main highlight and the biggest challenge of accomplishing the Annapurna Circuit. Annapurna Circuit best time to go?

September -November: This is the most recognized time of year (especially October). The climate is generally good and the air quality is generally good with great mountain views.

December-February: Most years it is possible to do the trek but heavy snowfall can close the pass for days or even weeks at a time. Avalanches & white out conditions can make for possibly dangerous conditions. Its good time of year to avoid the crowds but one has to be ready for snow & also to turn around if conditions become unsuitable.

March-May: Nice weather & generally not very crowded. Some slight possibility of snow on the pass in March & April.

June - August: The Annapurna Circuit is one of the best options during the monsoon. The beginning of the trek near Besisahar & the end of the trek can get quite a lot of rain but the stretch of the trail from Chame to Jomsom usually lies within a rainshadow developed by the Annapurna Range and is usually much drier. This is one of the few good trekking options in Nepal during the monsoon.

Day 11: Muktinath to Jomsom and visit Marpha village (2665m - 6hrs).
Day 12: Fly/drive to Pokhara and Explore Pokhara.
Day 13: Drive/ fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
