Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet by our Himalayan Asia representative in airport and transfer to the hotel. Our representative assists to check in hotel process and give short brief about program. You can take rest and fresh. You can walk in evening in Thamel (tourist hub of Kathmandu). Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2Trek Preparation and Sightseeing Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. In the morning after breakfast, we introduced your trek guide / leader. It will provide an opportunity to know your guide/leader and can ask questions about treks. After discussing with trek guide/leader, we start sightseeing tour. We provide private vehicle and guide for city sightseeing tour, you have time to shopping for trekking gear.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
The Kathmandu Durbar Square is listed UNESCO and this complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between 12th and 18th Centuries, used to be the seat of ancient Malla Kings of Kathmandu. It is the place where kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. An intriguing piece here is the 17th century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages.
Kumari Temple:
Kumari temple is the residence of the living Goddess. Kumari, known as Virgin Goddess has got some specialties, she must be chosen from a typical Newari cast with nobody marks and injuries and will be replaced by another Kumari after puberty.
Kasthamandap:
Kasthamandap is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree in the sixteenth century. Kasthamandap is situated near to the Kumari Temple. The name Kathmandu was named after this temple.

Patan Durbar Square:
The Patan Durbar Square is made in 1600s by Mall Dynasty and the royal palace of Malla kings. It is situated in the heart of Patan City, also listed in UNESCO heritage sites.The square, consists of enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. The former royal palace complex is the center of Patan's religious and social life and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. There are three main courtyards or chowks, so named central MulChowk, SundariChowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk in the square. The SundariChowk holds in its center a masterpiece of stone architecture, the Royal bath called Tushahity.The Square also holds old Newari residential houses. There are various other temples and structures in and around Patan Durbar Square build by the Newar Community.

Day 3Flight to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2610m - 4hrs). After taking breakfast, transfer to the airport for taking flight towards Lukla (2860m). Upon arrival on the airport your guide give you brief and introduce other staff. We start our trek descending towards Dudhkoshi River, from where we can join main trail to Namche Bazar. The walking is easy and after passing a village of Ghat, after short walking we reach Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 5Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar. After taking breakfast, Trekking start up 3 to 4 hour climb up from the Namche, and at 3,500 meters, traditionally the village was a trading post, with locals bartering yak cheese and butter for agricultural goods grown at lower altitudes. The village also boasts three small museums, a stupa, monastery, several cafes (locally known as bakeries) and many well stocked stores. Overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 6Trek to Tengboche (3860m - 6hrs). After taking breakfast, the trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We trek to an altitude of 3867 meters today. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the day's trekking went. Overnight in Tengboche.

Day 7Trek to Dingboche (4350m - 6hrs). After taking breakfast, we move towards Dingboche. From Tengboche, the trail down towards Debuche. We pass through lush forest filled with birch, conifers and rhododendron forests. We cross suspension bridge at Imja Khola and upwards to Pangboche. Finally , we reach Dingboche, a traditional Sherpa village with pristine view of Himalayas like Lhotse, Ama Dablam. Overnight in Dingboche.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 8Trek to Chhukung (4750m - 5hrs). After trekking breakfast, we move towards Chhukung. Today, we only 4-5 hrs and Aclimization. The trail continues to Bibre which is yak herdsman place. Chhukung is surrounded by glaciers and Himalayans. From here, we can see panoramic view of Ama Dablam, Tawache, Chalotse . We can hike to a rocky hill and reach Chhukung Ri which offers stunning view of many Himalayas. Overnight in Chhukung.

Day 9Trek to Kong La Pass (5535m) and trek to Lobuche (4940m- 7 hrs). We start our trek early morning to pass Kong la pass. We walk plain area in the valley and ascend the path towards Komgma la pass. At the top of the pass, we can see Buddhist prayer flags. After reaching top of the pass, we descend Khumbu glacier towards Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 10Trek to Everest Base camp (5364m) and back to Gorakhshep (5170m - 7hrs). Today trek also little bit difficult than other days and more stunning views also available to see. We walk through the Khumbu glacier. On the way, we can see stunning view of Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse and other glaciers. We descend towards Changri Riju. We pass Gorakhshep and continue towards Everest base camp. We explore base camp and back to Gorakhshep. Overnight Gorakhshep.

Day 11Trek to Kalapattar (5545m) and trek to Dzongla(4830m - 8hrs). At early morning hike towards Kalapattar to catch the first light in the Himalayas. After walking three hours, we reach top of the Kalapattar. There is little bit strong wind. Kala Patthar is one of the best locations for wonderful view of Mt. Everest. Explore Kala patter, back to Dzongla. We pass through a stupa and tombstones in the distance. After walking for a while, we descend downstairs. During the ascent, we see Chola Tsho Lake. We continue further and pass another lake which is lot smaller than Chola Tsho lake. We cross the Chola Khola on a bridge before reaching Dzongla. Overnight in Dzongla.

Day 12Trek to Gokyo (4800m) and Pass Cho La Pass(5368 - /6hrs). We start our trek early morning to pass another important pass of our trekking routes name Cho La Pass. In pass, we can found prayers flag and cairns. After crossing pass, we walk towards Thangnak. the trail brings us towards one of the longest glacier in Nepal name Ngozumpa glacier. After passing glacier, we walk Gokyo lakes. On the way, we found many lakes and reach at Gokyo village. Overnight in Gokyo.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 13Explore Gokyo Ri (5357m) and Gokyo lakes -7hrs. At early morning, we walk towards Gokyo Ri. On the way, we can find enjoy different lake and peaks. From lake, we can see astonishing view of Cho-Oyo, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu Himalayas. We back to Gokyo village and rest in there. Overnight in Gokyo Village.

Day 14Trek to Marlung (4210m) via Renjo La Pass(5360m - 7hrs). We start our trek early morning. Today also we have to walk ups and downs. For reaching Renjo La Pass , it will take 2.5 hrs with panoramic view of hmalayan view, Gokyo valley, lakes and Rolwaling range. We can see Mt. Everest from the pass. We descend towards Marlung. Overnight in Marlung.
Meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 15Trek to Namche Bazar (5 hrs). There can be a tendency now to rush, particularly as we are walking downhill, but there is still much to see. We descend to Pangboche and visit its historic old monastery, thought to be the oldest in the Khumbu. Continue on to our private permanent camp at Deboche for the night. Overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 16Trek to Lukla (7 hrs) and overnight. Overnight in Lukla.

  • How is Nepal?
    Nepal is landlocked country located between India and Tibet autonomous region of  China. It have highest peak of the world name Mt Everest (Sagarmatha) and eight peaks of the worlds ten highest peaks. It is birthplace of Gautam Buddha place name is Lumbini.
    Nepal is small country but tremendous geographic diversity. It rises from Fifty nine meters to eight thousand eight hundred forty eight meters. Nepal is divided into three part Terai, Hill and mountain regions.
    In here, the first language is Nepal (Devanagari script) and one hundred twenty three languages. The official language of Nepal is called Nepali.
     
  • Passport and Visa:
    First thing for travelling anywhere, you need valid passport with at least six months. You can obtain visa for Nepal from Nepalese consulates or on arrival in Kathmandu or other boarders or most reliable source of information is currently the Department of Immigration Nepal, if you fill online form and bring with you, then it would be easier to get visa in any Nepal boarder.

    Nepal’s climate varies with its topography and altitude. The low land Terai area has hot and humid climate that can rise above 40 degree Celsius during summer, middle region weather is pleasant almost all the year and northern region temperature is always cold.

    Spring: Mar-May: The temperature is good in this season and many flower blossom and best season for trekking.
    Summer:  (Jun-Aug): Monsoon season in Nepal, weather is hot and wet at times.

    We told all our clients to do travel insurance before leaving your home country. Their insurance must covered medical, personal accident, lost of gears, emergency evacuation, and damage or lost their luggage and etc.

In teahouse or lodge, you can found normal bed with pillow and blankets. We always search and give to our client’s standard lodge with good environment which make your trip happy and healthy.

    We have a lot of restaurants with different cuisine but during trek we eat from Nepalese menu especially Pasta, Mo Mo , soup items, Dal Bhat, tea, coffee etc. In trekking route, you will take dinner and breakfast in lodge and lunch will be along the way.
     
  • When is best season for trek and tour for Nepal?
    The best time to come is September, October and November and March, April and May.
     
  • Is it suitable trekking for me?
    If you are physically fit and love to walk then you can choose any trekking itinerary from our website to suit you. If you choose long day’s program, then you have t walk more days in mountain. All trekking program can see in our website.   We suggest while going trek, please took one professional guide and if you cannot carry your luggage then took one porter also.
     
  • Need any special equipment for trekking?
    In another column, you can find what you need to carry. Need to bring warm clothes, comfortable shoes, trousers. Or you can buy in Kathmandu before starting trekking.
     
  • What will happen if get any emergency in the trek?
    We suggest to all our clients do insurance before going trekking. If you have any problem, consult with your guide and he will give suggestion. In our office, one staff is available twenty four hours in phone call; you can call him/her.
     
  • Do I need permit before trekking in Nepal?
    For entering in trekking route, you need permit and TIMS card. For restricted area, you need special permit. You can discuss with our consultant.
     
  • Is Nepal safe and especially for single travelling woman?
    Absolutely, Nepal is safe for traveler. For woman and man, Nepal is safe. While going trekking, we suggest take one staff with you. If you go by yourself, you donot know right way and can missed way.
     
  • What do I need for trekking?

  • Hotel and Accommodation on Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    We provide to our client in City area best three star (above three star is on client requested) and lodge/teahouse during the trek. A Teahouse/lodge is the combination of guest house and restaurant where rooms are normally decorated and available bed, pillow and blankets. In every trekking route, we provide only teahouse/lodge because there is no availability of deluxe hotel. Single supplement charge will cost an additional USD 220.
     
  • Meals Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    The meal which is provided in trekking area is included breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide breakfast and dinner where you stay overnights and our guide will choose restaurant for lunch on the way. Our guide and other staff always give priority t served delicious, hygienic and each place special food. We recommended you to bring water purification tablets. 
     
  • Guide and porter in Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    We provide you best staff to you who have good experience and government license. In a group, we provide one guide till 16 pax and one porter for each two person.  One porter carries 20 kg .
  • Luggage/Bag pack in Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    For main luggage, we will provide one porter for two person. We suggest you to make two bag pack for trekking. One is for you where you can put cash, mobile, passport, sun cream, water bottle or light things which you need every time and another one where you can put your clothes, spare jacket and other heavy items. In domestic airlines, they provide fifteen kg including your hand bag , excess weight is chargeable around USD one per kg.

  • Personal Expenses Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    Personal expenses means which is not covered your package column cost include. Normally, you have to pay for table drinks (alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages), snacks (on the trek), tips, souvenirs, hot showers and extra day if flight cancelled or any other natural disasters.
     
  • Group Size, guide and crew member Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    Himalayan Asia Treks organizing Everest base camp trekking single to maximum sixteen pax in one group. If we have more than sixteen pax , we split this group into more groups. If there are two or more groups, you can walk together and can stay in same lodge but guide and other staff will be different. Our crew member is government certified and experienced in trekking fields.

    During our establishment of company, we operate group joining, fixed departure and private basis. If you are single and planning to join our group, please check our fixed departure date or consult with our operator.
     
  • Insurance/Rescue/Evacuation for Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    In trekking route , sometimes there was bad accident due to high altitude sickness or causality. If something is happen in trekking route or when you are in Nepal, you can contact with your guide or our office staff. We facilitate to our client spot to hospital by air or ambulance. We suggest to our client, please do insurance and forward to our company with your other document.
     
  • Some do’s and do not’s Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    Respect local culture and people.
    The Nepalese people are friendly and hospitalize by nature so you do not have difficulty to adjust in here.
    While you are entering in Temple, just check in some temple not allowed to enter for non Hindus.  If there is permitted to enter, please do not wear leather things and walk in Temple and Stupas clockwise. Before taking photograph, please ask authorized person for permission.
  • Flight Information about Kathmandu and Lukla Everest High Passes Trekking / Everest Three Passes Trekking:
    For going Everest region trekking, we have to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla by small Twin Otter plane. Lukla airport is Nepal’s domestic and Himalaya region airport so there is no more facility like in other airport.  In sometimes, flight will be cancelled or delayed due to mountain weather or some technical problems of aircraft. In that case, you have to pay for extra days bill in Kathmandu or Lukla. If flight cancelled and you have international flight in such case, Himalayan Asia Treks will charter helicopter to catch your onwards flight. This cost of Helicopter charted has to payable directly to our Kathmandu office or our fields’ staff. The cost will depend on the number of group members.
    We recommended that you should take some time for rest after finishing trekking. In case, your flight cancelled from to Kathmandu/ Lukla then there is no chance to miss your onwards flights. Same, you come earlier before one day then easy to buy necessary goods like Jacket, shoes or any trekking equipments.

Me with my friends booked Everest three pass with Himalayan Asia Team. We did Everest base camp trek last year with them. So we request to manage same staff for this trip also. We felt them they did not cheat in service and try to solve incase there is understanding. We really praised of their staff nature and hard working and helping nature.

Himalayan Asia Treks Team make our trekking very fun and memorable in himalayan part.  During our trip in Nepal, we found their team is very good. We took full information and they inspire and give courage in pass. We are very thankful to team. See you next year.
