Detailed Itinerary Tamang Heritage Trail: 

Day01: Arrival.

Welcome by our representative. Transfer to the hotel. Fresh in hotel and free time. Give itinerary and short briefing about the program—overnight in Kathmandu.

Day02: Kathmandu City Tour and preparation for Tamang Heritage Trail.

After taking breakfast in the hotel, your guide will receive and transfer to Kathmandu city Tour. We visit Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. The rest of our time is for shopping near your hotel—overnight in Kathmandu.

Meal: Breakfast.

Day03: Kathmandu- Syabrubesi (1503m/8hrs).

After taking breakfast, our team will come to the hotel to pick up and transfer towards Syabrubesi. On the way from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi, trekkers can explore good views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang and the brief glimpse of village life in the Himalaya. Overnight Syabrubesi.

Day04: Trek to Briddim (2229m/5hrs).

After taking breakfast in Syabrubesi, our treks start towards Briddim. Finally, we reach Syabrubesi to the check post located above the steps that lead to the Bhotekoshi suspension bridge. After leaving your details, cross the bridge and then on a trail that climbs briefly before following an easier gradient to the village of Wangel(1633m).

There is a water pipe in the village center, take the trail, opposite the line that climbs between houses. You will enter mixed pine and rhododendron forest after roughly 30 min. You can descend and walk-up village around to a trail above the town and then walk down—overnight in Briddim.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day05: Trek to Timure (1762m/4hrs).

In Briddim, there is farewell and taking breakfast, a short trek to Timure, there are simple teahouses. Descend through Briddim to Lingling (1737m) and then continue to the Bhote Koshi. Follow the new road route beside the river for 2 hrs to Timure. The village past the Gompa and traverses through the forest above Lingling. Overnight in Timure.

Day06: Trek to Thuman (2338m/4hrs).

After taking breakfast, we trek towards Thuman. Retrace yesterday route to the bridge near the hot springs (1650m), just over 1 hour from Timure. You spotted the bridge the day before as before you descended to the river trail. Cross the bridge and climb narrow switchbacks for 2 hrs to terraces and the village Dalphedi (2317m). The trail climbs more gradually from Dhalphedi to a ridge to the south of the village. The trail descends some rough stone steps and then traverses a rock face before turning west and providing the first views of Thuman. Overnight in Thuman.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day07: Trek to Nagthali (3165m/5hrs).

After taking breakfast, we move towards Nagthali. The trail is sometimes a step, and there is no reliable water source, so make sure you pack enough supplies. Next, climb a well-established route that leads up to a series of terraces and pastures before reaching the forest above Thungmen.

We can see a rhododendron, juniper, pine, and oak forest that attracts birds. The trail switchbacks up to a small derelict chorten (2870m) and climbs up. There are few trees on the top of Nagthali, and you should easily spot some Gompa and simple teahouses. Overnight in Nagthali.

Day08: Nagthali viewpoint.

To the north of the Gompa, nestled against the forest, is a small stone meditation hut for Buddhist hermits who visit from Tibet. The trail swings again and stays on the top of a narrow ridge offering views of the Ganesh Himal and Chilime valley below.

During the winter months and just after dawn, a red panda can be spotted in the forest along this ridge. The track then climbs and away from the woods and onto an open hillside of dwarf azalea bushes. Finally, we should reach a rarely used Kharka with a small stream. Again, this eerie forest section ascends an easy gradient to a magnificent viewpoint (3720m) of countless peaks in Tibet, the Ganesh, and Langtang Himal. Take some time to back to Nagthali. Overnight in Nagthali.

Day09: Trek to Tatopani (2607m/4hrs).

After taking breakfast, we move towards Tatopani (hot water). The trails head southwest over the edge of the plateau. When you descend, you will notice the small village of Brimdang (2848m), where there is a large chautara above a stone stairway. The hot springs of Tatopani are ahead, marked by many prayer flags in some trees. Overnight in Tatopani.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day10: Trek to Gatlang (2238m/6hrs)

After taking breakfast, we trek towards Gatlang. From the center of Tatopani, follow a rough stone-paved trail, which descends to a single farm building before flattening out to an easy gradient. The trail steepens again before entering Gonggang (2227m). Finally, the trail climbs to Chilime village (1762m), an old wooden Gompa. Along the route are larges chorten decorated with beautiful Mani stones. Overnight in Gatlang.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day11-12: Trek to Syabrubesi

From Gatlang, head up to the dirt road above the village and follow it east for 4 hours to a small pass, Rongga Bhanjyang (2187m) above Syabrubesi.
